Tom, Ben and Cal returned to the club on Sunday to pass on their knowledge and inspire the future stars of the club.

As Sunday mornings go, it doesn't get better than this!!

British and Irish Lion Tom Curry, his Twin Brother and England International Ben and England Under 20's international Cal Ford all returned to the club on Sunday to spend a few hours with the young players they inspire to play the game.

Having spent their Mini And Junior rugby days at Crewe and Nantwich, all 3 have gone on to play in the Premiership with Sale Sharks and represent their Country at either age grade or full international level, as a club we are rightly proud of the fact that they have graced our paddock and gone on to play at the highest level.

Cal, Ben and Tom all spent a couple of hours going round to see each age group playing or training at home on Sunday, stopping for photo's with the young player, signing autographs and having a chat with coaches and players alike. Catching up with older members of the club Gwyn Evans and David Potts, standing having a chat with these guys showed that no matter what you go on to achieve in your rugby journey you will always be welcomed back with open arms!!

The Academy then spent 45 min running training drills with excellent input from Tom Curry in and around the ruck and contact area, its amazing to see how one of the worlds best players views that area of the game, and how the group took on board his feedback immediately. The insight into the game from all 3 players was incredible and a real honour to learn from, and something which will inspire the Academy group along side the Mini & Junior groups for years to come. If you work hard, Listen to advice, and take your opportunities, Crewe and Nantwich Rufc will give you the platform to follow in Tom, Ben and Cal's footsteps.
