Dabbers XV needs you - so find your boots and you will really benefit the club in this special game

Dabbers (5th XV) v Congleton 3rds Saturday 28th March (Away)

Your club needs your support for this very important fixture! It is a one off game this season v Congleton 3rds (Away) on Saturday March 28th, this is a new team for the Congleton club who normally run just 2 teams. We are looking for volunteers to play in this game who do not normally play for the club teams or only play occasionally. This is a one off this season but really will help the club in lots of way. Young or old or in between - all are welcome!

The reason this game is so important to the club is because it is the World Cup in England next season and the RFU expect a 20% increase in senior and junior playing membership as a result of the World Cup. This happened previously when the World Cup was in England. Also, if we play this match and commit to playing a minimum of 6 games next season as a Dabbers team, the Rugby Union will pay for a new set of shirts for this team. The other major benefit is that clubs who field a 5th team and also have a Ladies XV have major opportunities funding wise with the RFU for improving facilities with grants and interest free loans. So, it is a tremendously important for the clubs future.

If you can find your old rugby boots or know anyone who fancies a game on the 28th March please in box me. You are not committing to playing next season, we just need to get the show on the road! I will make all the arrangements and contact players and But I do need a volunteer captain for the match day.

How many clubs can field 5 senior XVs and a Ladies XV? Not many and it will be a fantastic achievement. We have 3 weeks to find enough players, so please do something really positive for your rugby club and play in this match. The RFU are funding food after the game and I believe a couple of jugs too. Please volunteer today and you have all Summer to recover!

In box me please.
Andy
