With a full squad travelling to Broughton you could almost feel the confidence in the team, which isn't saying the lads lacked it last week just that 3 on the bench makes a hell of a lot of difference.

As, like last week, we took the lead and kept most of the possession for the first half. Unfortunately our strength in the lineout wasn't as sharp as last week and we lost 6 out of a possible 10. this gave Broughton an advantage and they kicked for territory at every possibility.
the inevitable was that we conceded a try going into the 2nd half.
With the last 15 minutes of the first half being on our line, and conceding a try, Broughton started positively in the 2nd and scored 3 successive trys. at this point last week we had worked our hearts out and couldn't give any more, however, the 3 fresh players gave everyone a spark and the fight back started at the next scrum where we turned their ball over. this led to a number of aggressive attacks started by the mighty Phil Alcock and 2 trys put us right back into it.
Unfortunately, time was against us and the final whistle blew at 26/22.
A truly solid performance by all with notable performances by Alex Ryder who attacked the opposition like a tramp on chips and Grant Coiley who ran some impressive yards.
The team as a whole learnt from the errors of the 1st half and deserved their applause at the end.
Well worth watching.
