Charity Rugby Festival Success
What started out as a drunken conversation, an idea started to evolve that got bigger and bigger!
Over the course of numerous weeks, countless discussions, a plan was put in place.
On Saturday 11th May 100 past/present players young and old came together to raise money for the charity MIND.
Along with 100s of supporters a special day started. In many ways none of us knew what the final outcome was going to be.
What with a busy ticket office, BBQ that fed the supporters as they enjoyed the games, along with fantastic sponsorship support and an auction that was never planned.
This drunken conversation then became massive. As we said yesterday we can’t thank everyone enough who gave up there time to support this just cause.
I’m proud to say as a club we have raised a staggering £6500 for MIND !
